Razz-Kids is an online reading program that uses e-books to increase the student's fluency and comprehension. Students listen to books, read books, and complete tests. They can also record readings of the books. Earning stars as a motivator allows them to "purchase" virtual items. We will use this during our Daily 5 and students should use it at home. |

Students can practice specific skills by using IXL Math. They can click on a concept and earn awards by completing the problems. Watch for a homework calendar to come home starting in September that tells which topics the students should be choosing to work on. |

Class Dojo is a classroom behavior management tool used in our building. We are focused on positive behavior incentives, therefore, you will rarely see negative points for your child. I give fair warning before deducting points and may skip your child if the wanted behavior is not being displayed. I may notify you of situations without it showing up on the Dojo. Your child should very easily be able to get 4 or more Dojo Points in a day. 8 is an example of an outstanding day and 12 is the supreme goal with a Dojo Dozen reward from Mrs. Drury. |

Renaissance Learning is the online testing program that we use at school. Your child will be using it this year for STAR Reading and STAR Math testing as well as Accelerated Reader (AR). Accelerated Reader is used to monitor your child's books read on his/her level and his/her comprehension. These tests can only be completed at school, but this link gives you access to check AR reports. |
