Although it is wonderful that we have so many parents that want to volunteer or visit our room, I need to remind everyone of our policies. As stated in the Student Learner Handbook, "Parents are welcome to visit their child’s classroom or to have lunch with their child. We ask that all parents sign in each time they enter the school. You will be given a badge to wear at that time so that the students will recognize that you are not a stranger in the building. If you wish to visit your child’s class, we ask that you arrange the visit 24 hours in advance. Student visitors are not permitted during school hours." If you are coming to visit or volunteer, you are more than welcome, but please contact me to let me know you wish to come in. Having volunteers is a great thing, but it takes preparation. If you wish to come in for some other reason, I may need to prepare or set up a conference with you at an appropriate time. As part of our safe schools policies, we ask that you do not walk your child to the classroom in the morning either. If you wish to come through the halls, you must sign in at the office. Thank you for complying with our policies and helping to keep our classroom routine uninterupted and our safety in mind.
