Update on Miss Francis:
Miss Francis is working hard to plan lessons and is slowly taking over different parts of our day. Right now she is working with the blue reading group. She is adding the red group today and yellow group tomorrow. After break, she will take over the green and purple groups. By the end of that week, she will be getting comfortable with math. April 15 marks her first day teaching the class solo. You may have to tie my hands behind my back! She will have 2 weeks of solo and I am confident they will be 2 great weeks. Her last day will be May 1st.
Testing:
We have many tests coming up before the end of the school year. The end of April-Beginning of May is the Terra Nova tests. We do not have an exact schedule yet, but we are doing a full battery. After that, we will be doing the Ohio Assessment Diagnostic tests in writing and math. These will be broken up in parts to give the children breaks. Then the week of May 20th is the last quarter's common assessments. In between all the testing, we hope to get some fabulous learning done!
