I know that we have some October birthdays coming up, so I wanted to send this information out ASAP. We have many things to accomplish during the school day and usually have more to do than we can actually get finished in our time constraints. If your child has a birthday, we will always acknowledge it, maybe sing a song, give an extra high five, etc., but please do not plan "party" activities at school. When a child brings in birthday treats, 30 minutes of our day is gone. Multiply that by 25 students and we have lost too much time in the year. Treats are still welcome, but please have them packaged to be taken to lunch or to be taken home. In the spring, we will have a classroom birthday party where we can all celebrate each other's birthdays and learn about birthdays in general. Thank you for your understanding!

The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives. Me, Me, MeI enjoy problem solving, designing, creating, communicating, collaborating, etc.... all of which I expect my students to do. I hope that we have an enjoyable and successful year!
