A parent had told me earlier in the year about a website called Family to Family. http://www.family-to-family.org/AdultsGivingParties.html. When I checked it out, it had a tremendous amount of ways our students could use compassion to help others. One thing that really caught my eye was the Birthday Giving Party. I contacted them and they connected me with the Columbus group called The Homeless Families Foundation. http://homelessfamiliesfoundation.com . They are extremely excited that we are going to be having this party and I can imagine the faces of the children that will benefit from this.
